We surveyed the floor with the client checking for:
- Condition of the substrate
- Moisture content
- Floor usage requirement
We recommended a floor finish to meet customer requirements. In this case our recommendation was
for a decorative flake finish.
The Preparation involved:
- Removing loose surface to provide sound surface key
- Vacuum blasting
- Surface grinding
Our next step involved priming the substrate with our
Topcoat Primer to seal the surface and also to provide a good adhesive key for the Topcoat Floor System.
After the primer had cured overnight, Topcoat Epoxy
Self Levelling Screed was applied using a notched trowel. The
decorative flake was then applied. In this case the customer had
chosen the Topcoat Tomato Red floor finish with flakes of white, which
created a striking finish.
The resulting floor is smooth, very hard wearing and easily cleaned. The difference between
the floor conditions before and after is remarkable as seen in the photos.
